Where was Charlie Chaplin really born, Russia, England, France or a caravan in a Gypsy encampment. In a recent document released by the British secret service, the question of Charlie Chaplin's origin of birth was revealed. I didn't know there was this much controversy over this beloved silent screen star. I also didn't know that the United States refused to let him back into the country in 1952, because of our beliefs of his Communistic ties, so he lived out his life in Switzerland. He died in 1977 at the age of 88. I truly thought he was a talented actor. My, have times changed, actors say and do anything they want, and rarely get called to the table for their views.

Has the "Battle of Anghiari" a painting by Leonardo da Vinci been uncovered hiding behind a brick wall, behind another historical fresco by Giorgio Vasari, in Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall of Florence, Italy. Maurizio Seracini, an engineer and Leonardo enthusiast started his mission of uncovering the secret of the wall in 1975. He is trying to use modern science and modern equipment to uncover the painting without ruining the painting in front, which is proving to be a very difficult task. In November, Physorg.com reported on Mr. Seracini's efforts, and reported that he was able to detect some paint behind the brick wall. I think this is fascinating.

Antibiotics don't help with sinus infections. Apparently, it's a virus and we just have to suffer through the illness. I guess the trick is not to get sick in the first place. Unfortunately, I have allergies, and frequently get sinus infections. Boo Hoo for me! I guess my dad was right, and antibiotics are not the cure all that many people view them.

This is my first post. I chose to post about the current news coming out of Los Angeles regarding Miramonte Elementary School. I really don't understand how there could be so much abuse in one location, for so long. This must really be a systemic problem within the school and may even be a problem within their district. Unfortunately, I think we will be seeing more abuse issues surfacing, because of the Sandusky scandal. I will connect a link if you are interested to further read recent news on the recent Miramonte issue.
